With 4,896 meters (16,050 ft) above sea level, Mount Vinson is the highest summit in Antarctica. This mountain, which lies within the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains, is one of the “Seven Summits”, a climbing circuit that includes the highest summits of each continent.
The climb of Mount Vinson offers moderate technical difficulty, although the extreme climate conditions of the continent turn this into a demanding challenge.
